Apple did testing in March 2014 with 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5–based 13-inch MacBook Air units and 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5–based MacBook Air 11 inch units that were not yet on the market. The wireless web test checks how long a battery lasts by going to 25 popular websites while the screen brightness is set to 12 clicks from the bottom, or 75%. The HD movie playback test measures battery life by playing back HD 720p content with the display brightness set to 12 clicks from the bottom, or 75%. The standby test measures battery life by putting a system in standby mode with Safari and Mail running and all system settings left at their defaults. The system must be signed into an iCloud account and connected to a wireless network. The battery life depends on how it is used and set up. Go to www.apple.com/batteries to learn more.

The weight depends on how it is made and how it is set up.

Requires Internet access. An IEEE draught specification is used as the basis for 802.11ac.

Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are all free on the Mac App Store for Macs that meet certain requirements and were bought on or after October 1, 2013. Needs OS X Mavericks. You need an Apple ID to download apps.

The only places where you can't get an AC power cord without PVC are India and South Korea.
